Now in its 6th year, This is a 4 day training extravaganza! Forget the thrill of warm weather training - The KVG bring you a training camp, here, in the UK, all the fun, all the training miles, and none of the favours to get everything at home sorted in your absence!
3 out of the 4 days will be contained within the school day (9-3.30) the exception is Thursday, which will be the long ride day, when depending on how things go it may be safest to get your little ones picked up.
WHY?? Research has shown that doing a solid block of training, has fantastic effects on your fitness, having the goal of riding for 4 consecutive days gives you a focus in the early year, if you need a nudge in the direction of the turbo trainer. After the solid week of high volume, once you have recovered, you will feel much fitter, and our experience is that it really boosts confidence too.
HOW?? most of us lead busy lives, juggling 1 or 2 jobs, parenting, running a home etc etc. Usually the women are at the bottom of the pile when it comes to family priorities. By taking a few days off work/ out of the home, you can give your training priority for 1 week. If you block the week out in your diary you will be able to concentrate on cycling!
The week will include 1 long ride, 2 medium/long rides (one with club Hill climb champs) and a day on a closed road circuit.
Day 1 (Tues) 40/60 miles. Leaving Hilden Park Golf Centre at 9.15am
Day 2 (Wed ) 30 miles including a TT up Box Hill in Surrey. meeting Reigate, Surrey 10am to ride to Box Hill.
Day 3 (Thurs) 60/80 miles a long ride to get the miles in. Leaving Hilden Park at 9.15.
