Our Coaches Print E-mail
Currently the following people manage the coaching within the club.


Bee Gregorie:

Bee is the lead club coach. Bee did her British cycling Level 2 coaching course in 2008 and followed that up with the Level 2 Road and Time Trial qualification in May 2010. She has completed her Level 3 core and  is currently working towards her Level 3 Road and Time Trial award. Bee is triathlete turned cyclist, with 2 Ironman finishes to her name. Now it is all about the bike, and she concentrates on longer rides. Bee offers all members help and support and also runs courses throughout the year, for introductory, intermediate and skill sets. Bee runs “Coaching Groups” to help girls to make the transition between “riding” and “training”, to achieve their goals. Bee is also a Sports Massage Therapist, and has a background in nursing, both adults and paediatrics.


Kary Greer:

Kary has completed  her BC Level 2 coaching award. Kary is the Club Coach for Kent Velo Kids, as well as helping with coaching for the Velo Girls too. Kary has completed 2 Paris rides - one in each direction, and is dipping her toe into the world of racing. Kary is a regular leader on the Sunday advanced ride.

 

 

 


Kate Alderson

Kate is a BC Level 2 coach, with a speciality in Mountain Biking.

Clare Midgley:

Clare is a BC Level 1 coach (Sept 09) and has been the regular Friday ride leader/co-ordinator since it began in September 2008. Clare is an endurance specialist with many, many century rides under her belt. Clare co-ordinates our popular 50 mile courses.   In 2011 she rode to Paris twice, once in 3 days, and once in 24 hours!

Paula Veysey-Smith:

Paula is a BC Level 1 coach (Summer 2011). She has completed two rides to Paris and is also a runner, finishing the London Marathon in 2005.  She has turned her attention to Triathlons, successfully competing in two sprint triathlons in the summer 2011.  She now heads up the Tri arm of the KVG and is on the look out for both willing and not willing new recruits!
